ABOUT THE BOOK - In The Code of Authentic Living: Cellular Wisdom, King reveals how fundamental truths for living an authentic, fulfilling life are coded in the elegantly complex dance of chemical and energetic interactions within and between our cells. After more than twenty years running a research lab at Tufts University, neuroscientist Joan C. King realized that what she had been studying under a microscope all those years had significance beyond human physiology. Much more than just a temple of science, her lab, she discovered, was a temple of the human spirit as well. With more than thirty meditative and thought-provoking exercises, this book shows us how to interpret the truths that our bodies teach and how to apply them to our lives. King helps you to explore the landscape within, working to identify your values and articulate them for improving human relationships and fostering more harmonious communities, as demonstrated within the relationships and communities of our cells. Here is the genius of Joan’s vision, in this, her foundational book, tapping into the highest expression of the human consciousness—genius—that remarkable combination of intellectual and personal qualities that allows a person to see beyond the obvious, to sense connections that escape narrower vision, and to express what they see in a way that ignites others and catalyzes change.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR - Joan King’s life path embodies the blending of the hard and noetic sciences. At the tender age of seventeen, she stepped into life at the Dominican convent in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Eleven years later she left that religious training to become a chemist, then received a Ph.D. in neuroscience and psychology. Her twenty-year tenure as a professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, lead her to a dynamic crossroads of personal self-discovery. She left academia. Her new found “inner knowing” ignited the writing of her book Cellular Wisdom. It became the foundation in understanding how our bodies model the teachings of our beliefs. Joan King’s blending of science and spirituality birthed her professional coaching business, Beyond Success LLC, in 1998.
Today, Joan is helping others apply these same dynamics for women and men in relationships and business as a Master Certified Coach. You may visit her website at http://www.cellular-wisdom.com
